Camp Cardinal

Family Tours and Activities
In an effort to continually improve the customer experience at RBC, the Camp Cardinal program now welcomes parents to take part in excursions and activities with their children!

Additionally, Cardinal Rompers, ages 3-6, are offered a private nanny who will work with parents to ensure that their child’s needs are completely satisfied.

Cardinal Adventure (ages 7-11) and Cardinal Explorers (ages 12-17) will also see a change. Daily excursions have been expanded to include even more activities and stops so that participants can expect a full day of exciting adventures.

These improvements will be overseen by American Childcare Services (ACS), which has managed a professional, fun-filled and memorable program for Cardinal Health for more than 10 years.

Cardinal Rompers – (ages 3-6) – Family Activities
This year, families of children ages 3-6 are offered a private nanny during scheduled hours. One nanny will be assigned per child or group of children from the same family. Nannies will pick up children at their guest rooms and parents may instruct the nannies to participate in pre-planned Cardinal Health activities and utilize Cardinal Health hospitality suites, or they may choose to have the nannies provide child care in their individual guest rooms. The agenda for nannies and children is directed by the parents, not ACS.  Nannies are not permitted to leave MGM property.

The Rompers program themed events will be presented every day in Cardinal Rompers hospitality suites. Parents and nannies are invited to bring their children to participate in all the activities that are offered. Please note that children must be accompanied by either their parent or a nanny to participate in the Romper program. There will NOT be drop-off child care available.

Romper hospitality suites will be located on a designated guest room floor where security guards will restrict access to suites to ensure maximum safety. Additionally, all individuals will be required to present identification to the security guard before gaining access to hospitality suites.

If a nanny is assigned to a Romper with an older Adventure or Explorer sibling, the older child may utilize Romper play areas and take part in Romper activities; however, children in the Romper group will not be invited to take part in excursions geared toward the older age groups, Adventure and Explorer.

Parents will fill out request forms for nannies through ACS and will essentially be “ordering” service on specific days for specific time frames using the Request for Nanny Services form. Cardinal Health will offer complimentary nanny service for Rompers as follows:

Monday, July 24 7am-6pm
Tuesday, July 25 7am-10:30pm
Wednesday, July 26 7am-6pm
Thursday, July 27  7am-10:30pm

Nanny services are available outside of these designated hours at an hourly fee. Please contact Melanie Dungca at American Childcare Services (312-644-7300) to make special arrangements.

Cardinal Adventure (ages 7-11) and Cardinal Explorers (ages 12-17) – Family Tours
These age groups will not have a hospitality suite. The Adventure and Explorers programs will begin each day at the times listed below. Buses will depart within 30 minutes of the designated start time, so please be prompt to ensure that you do not miss an excursion!

Excursion staging and departures will be organized and expedited through a system of color-coding (new this year).  Adventure/Explorer participants and adults accompanying their children on the tours will be issued a color-coded wristband that corresponds with their bus and their ACS supervisor for the tours. The same wristband will be used for all four days of excursions. The color-coding extends to their sign-in sheets and buses so that loading the buses will be as fast and efficient as possible.

One security guard each will be assigned to Cardinal Adventure and Cardinal Explorer excursions and will accompany participants on the day’s excursions to ensure maximum safety.
