These courses will provide pharmacies with necessary tools to provide pharmacist-delivered patient care. The tools include information needed to manage the therapy used by these patients and the skills needed to support the finances of the practice. The delivery process will include eight hours of home study focusing on treatment guidelines and evidence-based medicine followed by four hours of live training on-site in Las Vegas, which will consist of case-based discussions and hands-on training. The final component of these courses is a four-hour session that will share methods for implementation of MTM Services in order to qualify for reimbursement.

This is a CE course for pharmacists aimed at explaining today’s approach to wounds and resultant scars. This course will cover topics such as anatomy and physiology of the skin, wounds classifications, first-aid product choice rationale, continued wound treatment product choice, antibiotic rationale in wounds, when to recommend that the customer see a physician for a prescription, considerations for wounds in people with underlying disease states (eg. diabetes), special case wounds (eg. animal, human and insect bites), scar types - classifications, theory of scarring and available scar products and how they work.
